How do I make a new studio reservation?

1. Click on the studio you want to reserve under Studio Rentals.

2. Click on the 'Check Availability' button.

3. Choose the duration of your session.

4. Choose the date and time you want to reserve.

Unavailable times won't appear. This means the studio is booked or the reservations falls outside regular hours (8am - 8pm).

Reservations between 8pm - 8am are considered 'after hours' and have an additional $20/hr fee, regardless of studio. Call us if you need after hours reservations. 

5. Enter your contact information. Under 'Comments' include the backdrop colors you want.

6. Complete payment or click 'Skip Payment' at the bottom of the page.

7. Voila! Your reservation is in the system and you should receive a confirmation email. The time slot you chose will automatically show as booked on the appointment calendar.

How do I edit/delete my studio reservation?

1. Go to your confirmation email and click 'Reschedule' or 'Cancel Appointment'.

2. Click the red button to reschedule or cancel, depending on the option you chose.

3. Make the changes to your reservation. 

4. If you are changing the appointment time, it might not show as available because your first reservation is still in the system. Delete your first appointment to reschedule the time. If you are only adjusting the date then this won't be a problem.

Why can't I change my reservation time?

If you are trying to change your reservation time within one hour of your original appointment, it won't allow you because it still shows as busy. All studio reservations have a 30 minute buffer time after the reservation to allow for clean up/set up time. 

If you make a one-hour reservation at 1pm, it blocks out 1 pm - 2:30 pm. If you try to make or reschedule an appointment at 2pm it won't let you because it still shows as busy. To make this change you must delete your original appointment and reschedule. Or contact us and we can do it for you, 208-917-7427 or denise.ramirez@studioboise.org.


How does scheduling work outside of office hours?

Studio reservations - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

We can make any time of day work for your studio reservations. You can make reservations online from 8am - 8pm. Reservations between 8 PM - 8 AM are considered after hours and have an additional $20/hr fee, regardless of which studio is rented. To reserve studio time during after hours contact the studio at 208-917-7427 or denise.ramirez@studioboise.org. There is a $45 no call - no show fee, and a $100 fee if you go past your scheduled time into someone else's reservation.

Equipment reservations - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Equipment pick ups can be scheduled any day of the week between 8am - 8pm. Since we work on an appointment-based schedule it is important to be on time. There will be a $30 late fee if we are kept waiting more than 30 minutes without notice. 


What is the studio rental process?

  1. Make your reservation online, by phone, or email. 
  2. If you haven't shot here we always recommend coming in to check out the space and get a better idea of what you are working with, especially if you are coming in with clients.
  3. Show up 10-15 minutes early to get checked in. If it's your first time renting from us you will sign a one-time contract which takes less than 3 minutes to complete. 
  4. We will take you to your studio and make sure you are set up. Some people need zero assistance while others need help connecting to the strobe. We are here to provide as much or little help as you need to set up. 
  5. You can add additional lights or equipment at any time during your reservation. 
  6. Payment is due after your reservation in case you need to extend your session or add equipment.

How do I make a new equipment reservation?

1. Go to Equipment Rentals and click on the category you want. This examples walk you through a Canon lens reservation.

5. Fill in the reservation details and contact information. Click 'Make Reservation' at bottom of the form.

6. Done! You will receive a confirmation email once the reservation is confirmed by an administrator.

How do I make multiple equipment reservations?

You have two options to make reservations with multiple items.

1. Individually make each equipment reservation online. We're not able to make multiple reservations in one transaction through the online scheduling software. 

2. Call or email and we can put it in for you. We will need to know: specific items you want, pick up date AND time, drop off date, and your phone number. 208-917-7427 or denise.ramirez@studioboise.org


How do I edit/delete my equipment reservation?

To delete your reservation:

1. Open your confirmation email and scroll to the bottom. Click on 'You can cancel your reservation by using the following link'.

2. You will be redirected to our website. Enter your cancelation reason and click 'Cancel this reservation'.

3. You will see a small notice at the bottom of the page saying your reservation ID# has been canceled. 


Can I pick up before office hours?

What is the equipment rental process?

1. Reserve your equipment online, over the phone, or email.

2. Show up at the scheduled time. During pick up you will: sign a one-time contract, complete payment (if haven't already online), and schedule the drop-off time.

3. Create some art with the equipment.

4. Return the equipment at the scheduled drop-off time. We're flexible on times and understand life happens. Let us know if you have any scheduling changes. 


How do the rental periods work?

A one-day rental consists of one overnight. Each additional day adds one overnight.

All rentals start at a base price for a one-day rental then increase a set amount per additional day.

For example, a one-day rental of an 85mm lens is $30 per day and increases $7 per additional day. This means if you have a one-day rental pick up on Monday it will be $30 and is due back Tuesday. If you have a two-day teal pick up on Monday it will be $37 and is due back on Wednesday. 


Do you hold a deposit?

We don't hold any deposit for studio or equipment rentals. It states in the contract that you are responsible for all persons and equipment while using our facility and equipment. If you break it, you buy it. Equipment rentals have the option to add insurance. Some business insurances cover equipment rentals.
